Rocky Hill CT Real Estate Info, Mortgage and Home Loan Tips & Professional Advice

Rocky Hill is a town of approximately 18,760 residents located in Hartford County in Connecticut. The town has a median household income of about $60,250 and is conveniently situated between Hartford and New Haven, allowing an easy commute into the cities for many travelers.

Rocky Hill has recently become the home of the local CBS television affiliate, WFSB, which is the local channel 3. The television station is located in a brand new, $23 million, 65,000 square foot, state of the art facility. The general manager of the station disclosed a major reason for the move was the centralized location of the town and close proximity to interstate 91, interstate 84, as well as routes 2 and 9, which allow quick travel to just about all parts of the state. In 2007, Rocky Hill was proud to be named number thirty-five on the list of Money Magazine’s “Best Places to Live Top 100”. The magazine chose the town due to its location allowing an easy commute to Hartford, strong school system, local job availability, and easy commute to Boston and New York City. The town was also named “#1 Sports Town in Connecticut” in 2003 by Sports Illustrated Magazine. This honor was due to Rocky Hill’s constant commitment to promoting community sports programs.
